Hot Dog Derby
What a fortune it was to be apart of this! Sporting KC's Matt Besler, Graham Zusi, and Dom Dwyer took part in the signature Hot Dog Derby race at Kauffman Stadium. Matt, aka mustard, won even after taking a tumble at the start. It was a great time! Thanks to both teams for letting me be apart of it! Look:
KC Lovin': Sporting KC and the Kansas City Royals
Sporting Kansas City is debuting their new white and reflective silver on Sunday and it is making its round in KC. I had the good fortune of taking photos when Bernardo Añor and Paulo Nagamura handed them out to Kansas City Royal's players. Naga and Bernardo are Brazilian and Venezuelan and they met a couple Brazilian and Venezuelan Royals players in the process. It was such a fun crossover! We brought a ball and the Royals players had fun with that. And they taught our soccer guys a thing or two about America's past time. Check it:
SKC vs. LA Galaxy @ LA 1-2
Get out of town, literally! I was lucky enough to travel with the team to LA this weekend. It was awesome! I'm an East Coast born, Midwest raised girl who's never been farther West than Dallas, so it was amazing to see the Pacific Ocean, LA life, and the Galaxy at StubHub Center. So here they are, Sporting KC vs. LA in LA (!!!):
FC Kansas City Home Opener against Sky Blue FC at Sporting Park
The NWSL season is under way for the KC Blues, and I had the chance to photograph their home opener! It was so exciting to see the team back in action again! I saw some of my favorite US Women's National Team players, I saw my friend Shea Groom make her professional debut, and (tbh) I saw Sky Blue score a pretty sick goal. The game didn't go our way, but hey, we've got all season. The champions are back! Take a look:

I love when RSL are in town. No matter the result, it's always a thriller. We played to a draw yesterday, but we'll catch them in Rio Tinto twice later this season. Check it out:
